Health Freedom NZ Newsletter Action Alert

Hi [FIRSTNAME],

Our Health Freedom Wellington coordinator Sarah Fox (and other Health Freedom members) are helping to bring awareness to the Enuf Is Enuf protest campaign against aerial dropping. Read more for info on free viewing of an excellent documentary on this topic, usually $29.95 to buy it is available free on the internet only until 15th November.

While the aerial dropping of 1080 and Brofidicum have not been core Health Freedom issues, it has become an area of concern given the recent spate of deaths of dogs, penguins and our native birds. The aerial dropping of this poison is an indiscriminant killer which affects our waterways and the environment we inhabit. There also exists risk that this toxic poison can enter our food chain.

We are calling on any of our members who are also concerned with this practice to volunteer their time to help organise the protest action and show up on the day. Details on who to contact in your area can be found at www.enufisenuf.co.nz.

Nationwide Protest Action – Stop Aerial Dropping of 1080 & Brodificum
Organised by ENUF IS ENUF... POISON FREE NEW ZEALAND
Sunday 15th November 09  2pm-3pm
See website for details: www.enufisenuf.co.nz

What’s So Bad About 1080 & Brofidicum?
This is probably best answered in the new documentary by the Graf Brothers “Poisoning Paradise” where you can see the destruction it causes for yourself.

The Enuf is Enuf team have secured free viewing of this Documentary until the 15th of November so we highly recommended you watch it today, see www.enufisenuf.co.nz for more details.

If you would like to assist raising public awareness and help stop the practice then there are things you can do. First we would like to see as many people marching as possible. Secondly we need as many hands on deck right now, so you may want offer up some help or donations. This is a great opportunity to get behind the cause and stop aerial dumping of poisons.

Sarah Fox will be happy to answer any question at Sarah@HealthFreedom.co.nz

About The Protest Organiser
Paul Cohen was incensed when various animals started dying on Waiheke beaches, including dogs and penguins, after a recent aerial drop of brofidicum.  He decided to form the Enuf is Enuf campaign and set his sights on a “Poison Free New Zealand Nationwide Protest Day” scheduled for November 15th 2009.

“About 7 weeks ago I, like many people, thought that the Department of Conservation (DoC) here in New Zealand were doing all good. They had to be, they've got the name conservation in their title. I've heard about 1080, the toxic poison that DOC uses to eradicate rodents. Like most people I knew very little about it, apart from the fact that it's banned in most places in the world.

New Zealand uses 90% of the worlds supply of 1080. I live on an idyllic island 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, Waiheke Island, with a population of about 8000. This island is pretty much as good as it gets.

DOC had aerial dropped a toxic poison, Brodifacoum, on two of the islands between Auckland and Waiheke Island. We started seeing dead fish, penguins, even dogs walking on the beach were dying.”

Since this has also happened in other parts of the country where aerial dropping has occurred, this issue has become of nationwide interest.
